California

Easter weekend we traveled to CA to visit our friends, Brett & Xia. The day we left, Chicago was warmer than CA...go figure. We had a great time relaxing and going out doing things. Of course, what would a vacation be without over eating.

Dominic did great on the plan both ways. He just loves people and was always saying "hi" to everyone in the airports, in restaurants, etc. He's so friendly!

Thanks to Xia, we have even more great pics. You'll see she's not in a lot of them...b/c she was always ready to get the perfect shot.

Heading out for a hike near their house.

Doesn't this make IL look so boring! You can see this same view out of their 2nd floor bedroom. Love it!

We are about to feed some bulls some unripe oranges.

They loved them! Ate them whole in one bite.

2nd day - we headed for the beach.
We started off with lunch. Dominic wanted to eat everything on the table.

Going for a group ride down the boardwalk

Dominic's first time at the beach. He was ready to run right in if we didn't stop him!

3rd Day - Hiking & Easter Egg Hunt

This view is 10 minutes from Brett & Xia's house. How great to have views and nature that close to your backdoor.

I got your ear Daddy!

Thanks to the boys for carrying Dominic! I don't think my back could have handled an extra 25lbs.

Love the nature...how great is this shot (all Xia's work)

The family

Easter Egg Hunt....field of eggs

He figured it out...eggs go here!

All that hard work looking for eggs...now it's time for a ride on the swings. Once it started going he was just laughing. He loved it.

Easter Sunday we headed to a winery for Easter Brunch.

After brunch (and a nap) we visited Tom's Farm. They had all kinds of food shops and a little petting zoo. Dominic liked the animals but was not so sure about petting them.

Xia helped Dominic dig. Boys love their machines.

Look at that face. He's such a big boy.

California was awesome! We experienced our first earthquake, ate lobster macaroni & cheese & got to hang out with the best hosts ever. The following are two of the most hilarious videos we've taken so far. The first one is cute the second one is hilarious if you know Dominic's affection for say "Bob". It's a little long but hang in there...it's worth it!
